What is Makotokai?
Makotokai Karate is a modern full contact Karate style. It stands out by virtue of its efficient use of the human body's structure, of the principles of optimal force transmission and of the energy that is generated in the movements. Makotokai Karate has been developed incorporating the newest findings in sports science as well as principles perfected by traditional internal martial arts, like Tai-Chi-Chuan, Xing-Yi and Baguazhang. Owed to its versatility Makotokai Karate is perfectly suited both for men and women.
Who are we?
We are a new martial arts school and the first school for Makotokai Karate in Berlin. Our technical instructor, Ilaria (4th dan), has been training Karate for 20 years and has been participating in national and international full contact tournaments for more than ten years. Ilaria is assisted by Andrej who has been training Makotokai Karate for 7 years. We strive to continue our own training and frequently attend international training events of Makotokai Karate as well as train with martial artists from other martial arts.
Where and when do we train?
We train in two gyms that are well equipped with everything we need for all kinds of technical, free fight and fitness training.
Our Makotokai lessons are on Monday and Friday, starting at 7:30 pm and 8 pm, respectively.
The Friday training at the Fenriz training center is open to all.
Feel free to drop by for a tryout training. You are very welcome.
